Collected from the shores and tidal bays of East Hampton, each seaweed specimen in this series is hand-gathered and meticulously pressed by CEDAR Y SAND. Mounted on our signature suminagashi marbled paper—where ink drifts like water on the wind—these artworks capture the quiet poetry of the coastline.

From Ulva and kelp to fine filamented forms, each pressed composition becomes a portrait of motion stilled. The swirling ink patterns echo the shifting tides, while the seaweed itself preserves nature’s delicate structure—pressed, preserved, and framed by the sea.
