A Coastal Naturalist Watercolor Series

Originally painted as gifts for her father over two decades ago, these gouache marine watercolors mark the beginning of CEDAR Y SAND’s creative story. Founder and artist Stacey Testa created each portrait to reflect her father’s deep connection to the sea—artworks that once hung in his home as tokens of shared love and memory.

Now revisited and reimagined, each original painting has been professionally matted and collaged with CEDAR Y SAND’s signature hand-marbled Suminagashi Hosho paper. The swirling ocean-inspired backdrops add new rhythm and depth to these once-private pieces.

Part of the Suminagashi Impressions series within the Suminagashi Springs collection, these framed originals are both personal and universal—testaments to marine life, memory, and the enduring ties between water and wonder. Each piece arrives mounted and ready to frame.
