Inspired by the Golden Hues of the Dunes
Crafted by CEDAR Y SAND in our East Hampton studio, Walking Dunes Straw captures the quiet warmth of sun-dried grasses shaped by coastal winds. Each card features hand-marbled Suminagashi print-making paper, where flowing ink creates soft, shifting currents, later paired with pressed grasses whose feathery plumes and delicate seed heads evoke the natural rhythms of the dune landscape.
An Ode to Coastal Stillness
Part of the Suminagashi Springs collection, Walking Dunes Straw celebrates the understated beauty of the East End's changing seasons. Warm tones of golden straw, soft amber, and pale wheat rest against the fluid movement of marbled ink. A gently arching stem contrasts with two upright, feathered plumes, creating a botanical composition that reflects the graceful balance of movement and stillness.
For Notes of Reflection and Gratitude
Open to a blank interior for your handwritten words, accompanied by an embossed CEDAR Y SAND envelope. A keepsake that invites calm and connection, crafted in harmony with the elements.
Artistry in Bloom
Because every sheet of Suminagashi is marbled by hand and each botanical is naturally unique, no two notecards are exactly alike. Subtle variations in pattern, placement, color, and form are part of the individual character of each piece.

FAQ
FAQ
Q: What gives Walking Dunes Straw its distinctive golden appearance?
A: The warm, straw-colored tones come naturally from the pressed grasses, whose delicate seed heads and feathery plumes retain the character of the dried botanicals. Paired with the soft, flowing patterns of hand-marbled Suminagashi paper, they create a composition reminiscent of the coastal dunes in late summer.
