Inspired by Wind and Motion
Crafted by CEDAR Y SAND in our East Hampton studio, Walking Dunes Plume captures the fleeting beauty of movement—both in marbled ink and wild flora. Each card features hand-marbled Suminagashi Hosho paper, where drifting ink forms soft, coastal currents, later paired with pressed grasses that rise like feathered plumes in the wind.
An Ode to Coastal Stillness
Part of the Suminagashi Springs collection, Walking Dunes Plume evokes the layered textures of dune grasses along the East End’s shifting sands. Natural tones of cream, pale amber, and sun-dried lavender reflect the gentle balance of air and earth, ink and bloom.

FAQ
FAQ
Q: What is Suminagashi?
A: Suminagashi is an ancient Japanese marbling technique where ink is gently floated on water and transferred to paper, forming delicate, organic veining patterns that resemble drifting tides. Each print is unique, capturing the quiet movement of ink and water.
Q: Are the flowers real?
A: Yes. Each notecard features genuine, hand-pressed florals carefully preserved and arranged on marbled Hosho paper, highlighting the intersection of nature and traditional craft.
