Nature, Pressed in Ink and Time
Crafted by CEDAR Y SAND in our East Hampton studio, the Meadow Wheat notecard carries the essence of summer’s calm through paper, flora, and traditional craft. Each card begins with hand-marbled Suminagashi Hosho paper—an ancient Japanese technique where ink floats across water to form soft, tide-like veining. Once dried, the marbled surface becomes a canvas for pressed botanical elements, creating a delicate dialogue between movement and stillness.
A Field of Golden Serenity
Part of our Suminagashi Springs collection, Meadow Wheat captures the warmth of sunlit fields and the quiet poise of wild blooms. Golden tones and natural grains intertwine within an oval window, revealing the poetic textures of summer’s harvest. Each composition is one-of-a-kind—no two marbled patterns or floral arrangements are ever the same—preserving the beauty of impermanence at the heart of Suminagashi.
For Words Worth Keeping
